No Bad Days…( The real story)
It is a shame that such a great little thought, such as NO BAD DAYS could get as convoluted as it has, with guys like Little red headed Scott Sample, (as his Father , Tom Sample used to call Him) and some clutz named “THE FAT MAN” or the fat guy or what ever in Seatle.
The two of them are under the opinion, they know where ‘No Bad Days’ came from, each thinking it was Tom! Little Scotty’s Father.
Well here is the bonafide.
Back in ‘94’, I woke up in my panga in front of the LAS Palmas bar and restaurant, on Mendano beach in Cabo, after a world class night of Tequila drinking. I was awoken by Eduardo Reyes , (God rest his soul), The owner.
“Buenos Dias Miguel , Como Estas?” My response was , according to Eduardo was , ‘No Bad Days Amigo’. “Das Cute He said Where you get that”? “Amigo it just fell out of my mouth!”
Well friends , that is where it started. It was 1994, I went to Mexico City and had it Marca Registrared , ( Registerted) and started Selling Decals and T shirts.
About two years later My old friend Tom Sample, comes into my bar, Latitude 22+ with a visor, on it was printed ‘No Bad Days’. Tom had a sign printing company in Cabo and had just bought a Vynal printing machine. Tom asked “ What would it take to partner up?” I told Tom , I was done with partners. He then asked, “What would it take for Permision to use No Bad Days. I told Him 2% of Gross or 10% of net. He flinched like a dog having problems passing a peach seed. It was then I told Him. He could have it for use in the U.S.A. for free, He was a good man and I knew he would do it justice. There was one Proviso, that was , That at all times the credit for No Bad Days, would be given to Mike and , LATITUDE 22, The greatest bar in Cabo
Tom Agreed!!!!!!! I told Him if he ever renigged, I would track him down. As fate would have it, Tom went to his greater reward, passing the helm to Young Scotty , who has invented his own story.
